A friend once called me a “boho princess”, as I wore my beloved gladiator sandals with a flowy Free People dress and chunky jewelry nearly every day. Ever since then, it’s been the nickname I’ve dubbed myself and my friends have graciously gone along with it. It was even in my IG bio at one point (I know).
Although obnoxious, the nickname is actually pretty fitting. Before I even reached high school I remember being completely infatuated with Chloé and begging my mom to buy it all for me, even though there’s no way they made “adult” sizes to accommodate 12-year-old me. While my style is a bit more refined now, I instantly went back to my old ways the second I saw Natacha Ramsay-Levi’s FW19 collection this spring, and the more recent Coachella fashion – especially via Caroline Daur – is really getting me excited.
Below are just some of the key parts of creating an effortless bohemian look this spring. Warning: YES there is a lot of Chloé. But there’s also a lot of emerging and smaller designers included. Enjoy your new life as a boho princess!
