Moving towards a more sustainable lifestyle means taking all chances to give sustainably as well. This doesn’t always mean handing your MIL glass straws on her birthday; sustainability and durability go hand in hand. The more (and longer!) you use an item, the less wasteful that purchase has become. As I try to implement this in my own life, it also means giving gifts that follow the same narrative. Although they’re often more expensive, higher-quality gifts that can last a lifetime as opposed to single-use items are becoming increasingly popular, and we love it. Here are some timeless gift ideas for any SO in your life:
The Bordering-On-Lingerie Clothing
Because lingerie is always cool for V-Day, but give her something she can wear everyday and she will love you!! This dress has the best of both worlds.
The Cute Tote
The perfect gift: This tote, roses, her fave foods, and watching Netflix all night. You’re welcome!
So she can put a picture of you in it (or, more likely, a picture of her dog). But seriously, she’ll keep this forever.
The Cute AF Self Care Kit
Not the most “durable” gift, but you know she’ll use it.
OK, I take it back, *this* one you know she’ll use. Plus the wipes are compostable and biodegradable, yay!
The Leather Wallet
Why does every single man I know complain about losing and/or breaking their wallet constantly? Whatever, just get him a nice wallet he won’t forget about.
The Will-Last-You-A-Lifetime Coat
This 3-layer, waterproof jacket is the ultimate gift for any guy who lives in the Midwest or anyone that just needs a coat really.
The Perfect Pen
Baronfig Squire Rollerball Pen – $55
Best for: anyone that wants an egronomic-shaped aluminum pen that will last them forever.
Not good for: Someone that will inevitably lose this $55 pen the week they get it.
The Luxury Shave Set
Because guys aren’t as advanced as us ladies in the beauty realm; give them something that will make them wonder what the Irish-Spring-to-the-face skincare routine has them missing.
The Unisex Shopper
Honestly, the underrated it-bag of the year, Telfar’s bags come in every size and color you could imagine. Their unisex design makes it that much better.
The Aesthetically Pleasing Puzzle
Whether you’re a Millenial or not, these puzzles from Piecework are freakin cute.
I’m a firm believer in scent not being gendered, but I understand not all women want to smell like musk and tobacco. This LV Men’s “sampler” kit will likely have at least one scent you and/or your SO love, and this Mondo Mondo perfume is raved about all over, also the name is cute.
