Fashion Month was filled with colors and micro-trends this season, both on and off the runway. With a list of designers that is becoming more and more diverse each year, we see new and established designers alike separating themselves from one another by their choice of color, styling, and even where they draw their inspiration. While this melting pot of fashion is so incredibly diverse, there were a few common trends on the FW 19 RTW runway that we predict will be big in 2019. Here’s just a couple of our favorites, and while you can’t purchase these looks just yet, we’ll help you get ahead of the trends and shop them below:
Big Shoulders
We saw the 80’s-esque trend most notably on the Isabel Marant runway, but they did make appearances at Jacquemus and Alessandra Rich as well. Whether it’s a shoulder pad or some leather-fur-ruffle mashup as seen above, we’re loving this trend.

Alexandre Vautheir Herringbone Silk Dress, $3,230
Magda Butrym Tefe Dress, $1790
Feathers
Ostrich feathers, specifically. While we saw the Prada feather-trim collections for the past couple seasons, the trend seems to have just caught on with other houses such as Cushnie, Marc Jacobs, Balmain and Atelier Mimii.

Cockroach Killers
I both love and hate writing this. Hate, because I have long made fun of my mother for wearing this very trend; the uber-pointy toed boot that could literally kill a cockroach. Love, because I actually wore this trend myself to PFW and, quite honestly, love it. I was always a round-toe gal but I definitely am converting. Labels like Area NYC and Brock Collection are definitely in on this one.

Head-To-Toe Leather
The 70’s are still going strong for sure. This slick look may be too daring for some, but I personally love the all-leather look and it was the one trend that I saw at nearly every show I went to. Cushnie and Phillip Lim are among the designers that dove into this trend.
