This Weeks Sneaker Edit

My most used word on the @saygegirl Instagram? Kickspo. I freaking love sneakers, but I hate how expensive they’ve become. The awesome thing about the rise of streetwear is that the biggest brands like Nike and Adidas have silhouettes and designs for every budget. You can don a $900 pair of Nike x Off-White’s or pick up some sambas for $50. The merge of high-fashion and streetwear has created a lot of hype for collabs and introduced the idea of a reseller, but at the same time you can buy the basics for (usually) under $100.

If I’m being honest, I definitely dream about the more expensive end of the spectrum as opposed to the more affordable. This is simply because I happen to have expensive taste, something my mother has told me ever since I can remember. Fortunately, I found some for every price range (and no, they’re not all Nike), and you can use the ones out of your budget (if you have one!) for inspiration, aka kickspo, when scouring Depop and eBay – something I do on the regular.
