3 Indie Beauty Brands I’m Loving This Month

Being an SG editor means I get to try a lot of new brands I would’ve never heard of had instagram not existed. The social media network has allowed brands – beauty and fashion alike – to gain a worldwide audience without paying to advertise their product. Some of these under-the-radar brands that we don’t see in Nordstrom or stocked at CVS are much more accessible because of IG. Indie beauty brands can thrive without massive marketing fees and don’t need a large stock to start out. With that being said, I’ve found all of my current favorite beauty products through scrolling my feed, and my skin looks incredible with just these products on my face. Scroll to see my favorite beauty brands this month, and my top recs from each one.

Supple Skin Co

Supple Skin is known for their Dew Drops, which is my favorite product of theirs. They even modified the formula for sensitive and dry skin types so everyone can try. The Dew Drops have every step of your skincare routine mixed into one; this daily oil is meant to be an ample replacement for all your after-cleansing skin needs. If you’re in the market for a moisturizing, acne-fighting, one-stop-shop oil, this is it! I’m also loving their silicone brush, which has a dual-sided bristle and silicone brush all in one. I use it every day and my sensitive skin loves it waaaay more than my Clarisonic.

Verso Skincare

This Swedish skincare brand is also a daily constant in my ever-changing skincare routine (and I know my mom has her eyes on my Super Serum, I see you Shar!). Let me tell you I’ve never used a skincare line as long and as constantly as Verso. And that means a lot, as I switch products like it’s no one’s business. Their Micellar Water is the best I’ve ever tried, and their Super Facial & Eye Serums make me look like I slept 10 hours after an all-nighter. If you don’t know where to start with anti-aging and skincare but are serious about your skin, I highly suggest Verso.

Fluff Casual Cosmetics

Ok. I don’t even know where to start with Fluff. Their website is amazing and is a virtual funhouse that I could play with for hours, their branding is on *point*, and most importantly I love their product and use it religiously. They have some super cute merch that I also flaunt regularly, but their bronzer is no doubt my key to success – if success means looking like a ~naturally~ bronzed goddess. I’ve chucked all my cult faves (i.e. Nars Laguna, Benefit Hoola, even Chanel Tan De Soleil) in the metaphorical trash (I’m still a sustainable queen!) and have worn this bronzer down faster than ever. The best thing about it, it looks like a silver little reflective bean and is so photogenic I take pictures of it way more times than I’d like to admit. Their kabuki brush is always sold out but has rave reviews and a reputation for being über soft, too!
