Sarah Sidway Godshaw has designed swimwear for top brands such as Puma, Show Me Your Mumu, Nanette Lepore, and more. She even helped launched Nasty Gal’s uber-successful swim line. Now, she started her own namesake swim label, Sidway Swim, which is inspired by 90’s supermodels condensed for everyday wear. I’m serious when I say that if I was to only buy one swimsuit this summer, it would for sure be from Sidway.
Quickly becoming a cult-fave among influencers, Sidway’s suits are the “elevated basic” version of swimwear. If you love long-lasting and multi-functional wear, then these are the suits for you.
Although they run about $180 a set, they’re meant to last. Each suit is designed to hug your curves, not dig into your sides (like most suits I’ve tried, tbh). The jersey/spandex blend fabric is hemmed with real rubber to ensure the elasticity of the edges. No more stretched-out crotches.
If I haven’t convinced you yet, check out some of my favorite pieces from their current collection, including their bestselling bright orange hue, “poppy”.
