The Brand Every It-Girl Is Shopping For Party Shoes

Ever since she launched her eponymous label, I’ve been obsessed with Amina Muaddi, a Jordanian/Romanian shoe designer. I kept seeing the same silhouette all over my feed and fell in love: a mid-high heel with a pyramid-shaped detail on the end of the heel. Her trademark shape isn’t the only thing that sets her apart from the ever-growing footwear industry, though. The mix of brights and neutrals, glitter and satin, snakeskin and rhinestones – it all just pretty much makes you want to party.

As you noticed in my love letter-esque introduction of her, I’m super fascinated by the works of this badass woman. In a time where influencers and/or anyone with capital are simply slapping their names on clothing items without the knowledge of it’s path to existence, I was refreshed to read in Into The Gloss’ interview with Muaddi that she is very involved in the shoemaking process, even building some of the shoe parts from scratch herself.

Although the shoes are considerably loud for everyday wear, Amina understands that some women may want to wear them all day, and therefore tweaked her heel to cater to everyone: “I used to do higher heels, but this time I wanted women to have a heel they could wear throughout the day and then go to cocktails—a 9AM to midnight type of shoe.”, she tells ITG. Honestly, if I could afford to get my hands on a pair, I would wear AM heels all day, every day.
