If you are one of the lucky ones to live in a temperate climate like me, you know how rough winter weather can be on skin. My skin is incredibly dry to begin with, and adding the cold, dry air and 40 mph winds only makes it worse. My skin and nails are fragile and cracked, and my scalp can’t decide if it’s greasy or dry.
I’ve acquired quite the arsenal of hydrating skincare products and truthfully I switch it up often. I genuinely believe that if I wasn’t allowed to buy another skincare product in my life, I’d still be all set. That being said, I’ve rounded up the 4 products that I used consistently throughout this winter.
Trust me when I say I’ve tried a lot of sheet masks. This one is packed with coconut water, hyaluronic acid, and cucumber extract, making a calming and uber-hydrating mask for all skin types. I personally like to use this before makeup.
LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask, $25
I’m sure you’ve heard of this before, and maybe even saw us feature the Lavender version in this article. The hype is most definitely justified, and although I love to challenge the “directions” section on the back of skincare products, I really do wear this to sleep and it soaks in while giving some major moisture.
Benton Snail Bee Steam Cream, $14
As I just found out, this face moisturizer is a cult-fave in the K-Beauty community and if the price isn’t amazing enough, the Amazon reviews show you how much you didn’t know you needed this. It is a heavier moisturizer to wear in the winter months, but light enough that I wear it daily and it doesn’t clog my very clog-able pores.
Your scalp is your skin, too! Ok. I know it’s expensive, and I know that there are so many great shampoos for a fraction of the price, but nothing like this. I just started using this anti-dandruff shampoo on my congested, greasy-but-also-dry scalp and I’ve never felt more content with the health of my scalp. I ‘ve also never said the phrase “health of my scalp” out loud and don’t plan on it.
