5 Amazing Things I Found On The Internet Today

My side hustle is reselling clothes online, and because it’s MLK Day, the post office was closed. To me, that translates into *lazy* mode and residing in my bed for the day. While on my self-proclaimed “day off”, I found a load of interesting Instagram posts, websites, and indie brands that I needed to dump them somewhere. So, my day stuck glued to my phone is your treasure. Enjoy!

Future Me

I saw someone’s IG story and they were showcasing an email they had sent their future self from a year ago. Since I couldn’t possibly be bothered to figure out how to do this on Gmail, I googled “write email to future self” and FutureMe popped up. I wrote an email to myself to open on New Years Eve next year, and I hope to keep the tradition up (hopefully it doesn’t end up in my spam folder).

Paris 99 and Their Cherry-Inspired Collection

Again, I was in bed on my phone all day. So naturally, I went through a lot of indie clothing brands’ profiles and none quite caught my eye like Paris 99 and this oh-so-cute set that is releasing in a few days. Can’t wait!

This “Rainbow Runner”

It seems I’m a week late to this party, but this colorful stair-runner by Trish Andersen, or @trishandersenart on Instagram seems to be an addition that everyone wants in their house ASAP.

Sorry I Forgot Your Birthday, I’ve Stopped Checking Facebook by Joanna Stern for WSJ

While starting out as an anecdotal example of how one seemingly can’t keep the date of even the most important birthdays in their head, this story for WSJ is a bigger discussion on how social media (Facebook, specifically) has shaped our relationships, and how it’s downfall is affecting us.
