We talk with Swedish influencer Cassandra Marouki this week, as she touches on her fave beauty products and her biggest influences on IG.

What is your occupation? Is Instagram a hobby for you or a job?

Instagram is both a job and a hobby for me. But I also work in a clothing store. 

What’s the oldest fashion item you own?

It’s a mickey mouse t-shirt from 1993, my mothers old one she bought from Disneyland in Paris. It has the washed-out vintage look I just love. 

How would you describe your style at the moment? How has it changed over the years?

My style is probably a mix of cute and cool, puffy sleeves and Buffalo sneakers. Love mixing those two. Yes my style has changed over the years, but I have always only worn what I like, that will never change.

Do you think Instagram has influenced your style at all?

Yes, Instagram is one of my biggest inspiration sources. Whenever I feel grey or have been looking for hours to find something to wear, Instagram always helps. And that is something I’m really happy and grateful for.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

It is a cliché but, that you always have to dare to do what you dream of and that you should always be yourself. I have had this advice with me through life and it has helped me when life has been a little upside down.

What’s your star sign? Do you think it’s accurate?

My zodiac sign is Capricorn. Capricorn puts high demands on itself and does not like to fail. Which is very true when it comes to me. Capricorn is independent which I think one should be in life. It is also said that once a Capricorn has given his love, it is one of the most loyal ones to find. The same applies to my love. The ambition a Capricorn has is incredible and I am glad that I have it myself.

What are your top 5 beauty products?

Facial oils!!! Thank god for facial oils. I won’t survive without them! Eye cream, night serum, the beloved facial mists you can spray any time of the day. And ofc the best invention ever – glow masks!

Who is inspiring you right now?

my greatest inspiration is and always will be Xenia Adonts. She is not just the absolute greatest fashion icon. She is also such a down to earth and nice and funny person. When I’m down, I usually just go in and scroll on her Instagram. It’s amazing to get to experience her positive energy, even if it is only through the phone screen.
