While I was right about the demise of the highlighter-yellow hue and fanny packs, I admittedly was against the following trends until very recently. The influencers are definitely doing their job and have successfully ~influenced~ me to try the following trends that I thought would blow over rather quickly. Scroll to see some of my now-favorite trends for this summer, as well as how to shop them.
To be honest, I thought this obsession with absurdly large and architectural sleeves and shoulders was another micro-trend that was going to be out the door as soon as it came in, but with labels like Isabel Marant reviving the 80s-esque shoulders and brands like Orseund Iris bringing back Victorian sleeves, it definitely is here to stay. And I love it.

We all heard tie-dye was back when Proenza Schouler put out their nostalgic collection last year, but this was a trend that I didn’t see much reception for. Despite that, Prada’s new capsule for SSENSE was fully tie-dyed and brands like Ralph Lauren and Retrofête are joining in on it. These are definitely not your DIY backyard Hanes tees.
I can’t believe I’m typing this. But I love kitten heels. I thought the Bare Sandal from The Row was the last we would see of them, but nope. Editors and influencers alike are all being seen in the uber-comfortable heel, and I’m not mad about it anymore. Brands like byFAR and Cult Gaia are running the game rn.
