Figuring out plans for NYE each year always makes me incredibly anxious and frustrated, because we might go to a bar, we might go to this party, and we might have nowhere to go. If you’re anything like me, you understand that it’s essential to have your night planned out in order to pick out an outfit. You also would understand that your outfit needs to be picked out weeks before an event. Instead of dealing with the massive uncertainty and vagueness of “going out” this NYE, me and some friends decided to rent out an Airbnb in LA for a couple nights. It’s less expensive than a hotel (especially when you have a lot of people splitting the bill), and even if we don’t end up going anywhere for New Years, we can have our own party in the house we’re staying in. It’s a lot less frustrating and gives me peace of mind in knowing that we have it all figured out.

Even back in August, about 90% of homes in LA were booked already for NYE, so it’s hard to find somewhere a couple weeks ahead. I compiled a list of some places that aren’t booked for the week of NYE, and they range in location, size, and price. Here’s the best ones I found:

Sandane, Norway

This amazing treehouse in Norway has some breathtaking views, you won’t even mind midding out on the nightlife over NYE.

This private villa includes a pool, theater, doorman, and garden that you can eat fruit directly from the trees. It accommodates up to 18 people, so the price is justified if you’re in a big group.
